Dr. Archer is originally from Buffalo, NY and she obtained her bachelor’s and master’s degrees at the State University of Buffalo. Dr. Archer received her degree in Osteopathic Medicine from the Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine in Glendale, AZ in 2001. Dr. Archer is board certified in Family Practice and Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine and is also a diplomate of the American Board of Integrative/Holistic Medicine. She has a true passion for helping patients. In her spare time, Dr. Archer enjoys yoga, spending time with her family and playing outdoors with her two German Shepards.
Donna attended the University of Colorado where she earned her bachelor’s degree. She Continued at the University of Colorado earning her master’s degree to become a Certified Physician Assistant and was awarded the AFPPA Physician of the Year in 2005. Donna has worked in urgent care and family medicine throughout her career and in 2015 she joined Western Valley Family Practice. Donna enjoys working with Spanish speaking patients and is always interested in expanding her knowledge of women’s health. In her spare time, Donna is an avid gardener and loves to share the wealth of her green thumb with her Western Valley family. She also enjoys spending time with her family and taking her dogs out to play.
Terry graduated with her bachelor’s degree in Biology from Adam’s State College in Alamosa, CO in 1994. Her passion for medicine drew her to MCP Hahnemann University where she graduated as a Certified Physician Assistant in 2001. Terry has worked in Women’s health, Internal Medicine, and Family Practice in Grand Junction. Terry decided to move into specialty care and joined an Otolaryngology clinic. She expanded her skillset in ENT but missed the opportunity to build long term relationships with patients and in 2017 she joined Western Valley Family Practice. Terry is married and has two children. She has been an avid runner for most of her life and enjoys the peace that running brings to her. When she is not working Terry likes to spend quality time with her family and travel.
Ona Ridgway, NP, re-joined Western Valley Family Practice in October 2018. She is known for her positive outlook and willingness to help; traits which greatly benefit our care teams. She obtained her Family Nurse Practitioner degree from the University of Colorado Health Sciences in 2004 and completed a B.S. in Nursing in 1992. Ridgway NP has worked in family practice, surgery, and emergency medicine in the Grand Valley area since 2004.
Sandra Christenson graduated from the Child Health Associate/Physician Assistant program at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center with a Master’s degree in Child Health and Physician Assistant Studies.
Sandra Christenson has been working with Western Valley since July of 2008. She loves working with families and enjoys seeing children. Sandra also speaks fluent Spanish with a Bachelor’s degree in Spanish from the University of Wyoming.
Outside of work, Sandra loves spending time with her family, including her husband, daughter, and son. She enjoys traveling, camping, reading, and spending time in the community. “I love my job and couldn’t see myself doing anything else. It is so rewarding to work with patients and help and support them physically, mentally, and emotionally. I’m thankful to Western Valley for giving me a great place to work, doing what I enjoy.”
Dr. Foley is from New Orleans, Louisiana. She obtained her college degree from Colorado State University and continued her studies at Louisiana State University School of Medicine where she received her medical degree. Her residency for family practice was completed at St. Mary’s Family Practice, graduating in 1999.
Dr. Foley has been with Western Valley Family Practice since she finished her residency in 1999. She offers primary care to newborns through end of life.
Dr. Foley has 3 children. Avocations include family, cooking, and mountain biking.
Dr. Holmes is a Colorado native. He obtained his college degree from the University of Colorado-Boulder. He continued his studies at the University Health Science College of Osteopathic Medicine in Kansas City where he received his Osteopathic medicine degree. He completed his internship at Des Moines General Hospital and his family practice residency at the Northwest Texas Hospital in Amarillo.
Dr. Holmes has been in practice since 1989 and has been with Western Valley Family Practice since 1990. His special interest is in sports medicine.
Dr. Holmes is married and has 3 children. Avocations include cycling and outdoor activities.
Dr. Klein grew up on a farm in rural Northeastern Colorado. He obtained his college degree from Concordia University – Seward, Nebraska. He continued his studies at the University of Colorado – School of Medicine in Denver where he obtained his medical degree. He completed his residency at St. Mary’s Family Medicine in 2008.
Dr. Klein returns to Grand Junction skilled in pediatrics through geriatrics, offering lap band fills, orthopedics, skin procedures, nursing home care, and preventative/wellness care.
Dr. Klein is married to a Grand Junction native and has one child. Avocations include piano playing, singing, skiing, and traveling.
Dr. Motz is a Colorado native and obtained his college degree from Adams State College. He continued his studies at Des Moines University, where he received his osteopathic medicine degree. He completed an internship at Des Moines General Hospital. In 1990 he finished his family practice residency at St. Mary’s Family Practice.
Dr. Motz has been in practice since 1990, all of which has been at Western Valley Family Practice. His special interests include sports medicine, pediatrics, and spinal manipulation.
He is married and has three children. Avocations include activities with his children and officiating sports.
Dr. McClellan came to the Grand Valley to train in the field of Family Medicine after attending medical school at Touro University in Henderson, NV. For her, Nevada was the extreme change of scenery she was looking for after growing up in Anchorage, AK, but it never felt like home. She had made several trips to Colorado and was very fond of those adventures. One memorable visit to the Western Slope highlighted the superior training available and the lifestyle she enjoyed. She completed her residency at St. Mary’s Family Medicine in 2013 and met a new kind of family in her co-workers and mentors. She and her husband knew they wanted to stay!
Dr. McClellan started with Western Valley Family Practice in September 2013. Professionally she enjoys women’s health, contraception management, pediatrics, wilderness medicine, travel medicine, and sports medicine.
Dr. McClellan is married with a sweet baby girl. In her free time, she enjoys being outside with her family and their two dogs. Some of their favorite activities include mountain biking, mountain climbing, trail running, Nordic skiing, snowboarding, and traveling.
